You may insert your a photograph of yourself and become part of the Divine Mercy image.
This image, a collage of many photographs of people, will be seen by all on screens in Cathedral Square in Vilnius on September 22nd, as young people await the arrival of the Holy Father, when at 15:00 the Divine Mercy chaplet, which originated in Vilnius, will commence.
You may send your photograph until September 19th. The photograph must be portrait style (200 KB – 5 MB). There is a limit of one photograph submission per person.
Vilnius- The city of Divine Mercy. Here, for the past 400 years, above the city walls of Lithuania‘s capital, hangs the miraculous painting of Our Late Gate of Dawn, the Mother of Divine Mercy.
In Vilnius, we have the world-renowned Jesus of Divine Mercy or God of Divine Mercy painting, which was painted by artist Eugenijus Kazimirovskis, who was guided by the 1934 mystical visions of Sister Faustina Kovalska. Jesus promised great mercy for the souls who pray before the painting.
The picture was first shown publicly in 1935 in the gallery near the chapel of Our Lady Gate of Dawn.
Pope Francis will be arriving in Lithuania very soon, and on September 22nd will be meeting with the gathered young people in the Vilnius Katedros aikštė (Cathedral Square).
The Jesus of Divine Mercy image, consisting of many contributed photographs, will be seen by all awaiting the arrival of the Pope, when at 15:00, the recitation of the Divine Mercy chaplet prayer, which originated in Vilnius, will commence.
